This is Parenthood

With more than half of parents feeling like failures in the first year, it’s time to get honest about parenthood. Follow families from across the world during the first year of parenthood as they open up about the realities. The highs and the lows. Fears and ambitions. Changes in themselves and their relationships. This is parenthood as you’ve never seen it before. Directed by Lucy Cohen, this documentary is part of the "This is Parenthood" project from WaterWipes which aims to start a more honest conversation around parenthood. Challenging the idea of perfect parenting by celebrating the imperfectly perfect, tackling taboos and showing parents that, whatever happens, they're never alone.

Bladedge is quite honored to have produced the China part of the film. We have provided a bi-lingual director, a documentary crew including DP, sound recordist, gaffer etc. And we have provided the street casting for 23 real families with new babies. 

The entire project was scattered over 4 months period and it involved a lot of communications, cordinations and translations with the UK crew to ensure that the footages we filmed in China is in line with those from other countries. 

It was two long days of filming and Bladege proved to be the best production partner again to the client.
